The former Juventus and world champion with Italy had last coached in 2021 at Maribor
Mauro German Camoranesi finds the bench again. The former Juventus footballer, and world champion with Italy in 2006, had coached for the last time in February 2021, at Maribor, and then stayed only a few days on the staff of Igor Tudor at OM. Now Camoranesi starts again from Floriana, a team from Malta.
Camoranesi at Floriana, it's official
Welcoming him to Malta for the start of this new adventure is the president of Floriana, Johann Said, and the technical director, Sean Sullivan. Camoranesi takes the place of Gianluca Atzori, who resigned last May after finishing the championship in seventh position. This is the official statement: "Floriana Football Club is pleased to announce the new coach for the next 2023/24 season, coach Mauro Camoranesi. He will now lead the club's new technical project with the sole objective of helping Floriana Football Club reach new heights, improve the club's winning mentality and create an electrifying chapter in the club's history that will ignite the passion and win over our fans. We are ready to redefine the essence of the club and embark on this exciting journey, moving forward together. We welcome Mister Camoranesi to Floriana and wish him good luck in Biancoverde!".
