Chiesa-Raspadori, sensational Juve-Napoli swap: why it could take off

Between the two clubs that are reshaping the offensive department, a possible double operation emerges: Federico is very much liked by Conte, Jack is ideal for Motta

TURIN - It was clear from the first minute after the end of last season that it would be Federico Chiesa 's summer , for better or worse. Many factors were at play that contributed to the fibrillation around the winger: first of all, the contract expiring at the end of next season, then the high salary expectations that currently hover just above 5.5 million euros, then the showcase of the European Championship with the Italy jersey that could have changed the strength of the parameters on the pitch, then the change of coach at Juventus with the arrival of Thiago Motta who, unlike Massimiliano Allegri, has little tolerance for anarchic players, reluctant to respect tactical instructions and portions of the pitch to be occupied according to precise mechanisms, studied in training and not based on what triggers instinct. Well, all these components, shaken up in the weeks lived from the end of May to today, are leading to what was imagined.

Now, starting from the assumption that Chiesa's future in Turin is short-lived, given that his game does not fit well with Motti's theories, the tracks that could lead him to change shirts are holding the floor. While waiting for an interest to be ignited abroad that has not yet been seen - the Bayern Munich idea is currently in its infancy - the roads that lead to Rome and Naples are more alive than ever.

Chiesa and the Rome hypothesis

As far as the Giallorossi club is concerned, Daniele De Rossi himself would have moved with a triangulation with Dybala to encourage Federico to embrace the Roman adventure. The contact would have been useful but not decisive, also because these days are intense also from a personal point of view and not only professional, given the preparations that will lead Chiesa to marry Lucia Bramani next Saturday. The boy, therefore, is called to draw a new football perimeter and not only. To make the skein even more tangled, then, the fact that Roma has targeted Soulé for the same role , who however Juve wants to sell to Leicester willing to spend 10 million more.

But as was said, there is another solution on the horizon for Chiesa, that of Napoli, with Antonio Conte always a great admirer of his who would be very happy to be able to exploit his bursts on the wings with the ball at his feet (among other things Mister Antonio does not see Raspadori as a winger ...). In reality, even the Napoli option has not immediately fired up Chiesa who is thinking about it all. In the meantime, another planet is aligning on the Chiesa-Napoli axis that has long been liked by technical director Giuntoli since he took him when he worked in Napoli and he would fit perfectly with Thiago Motta's playing philosophy.

Raspadori-Chiesa, what's happening

We are talking about Giacomo Raspadori , a Neapolitan striker who can play with tactical intelligence both the role of first central striker and second striker. A modern striker, who knows how to read the occupation of space regardless of the presence of the ball and the goal opportunity to exploit.

And so a scenario is taking shape that with the passing of the days and a few weeks could become something more concrete, namely the exchange between Juventus and Napoli of Chiesa and Raspadori. The value of the two players is substantially the same, around 25 million, but Federico's contract expiring in June means that his contract is worth a little less. A settlement of around 5 million in favor of De Laurentiis' club could represent a valid point of collapse for the two clubs. Who at the helm of their market operations see Cristiano Giuntoli on one side and Giovanni Manna on the other, until a few months ago teammates under the Mole. Looking for and meeting to delve into the possible exchange of the two forwards would not be a problem...
