Bianconeri among the seeds, what would be the path to the final and the opponents to meet
Once a season is over, it's time to schedule the next one with the Coppa Italia scoreboard for the 2023/24 edition that begins to take shape. As usual, the big names of Serie A will enter the round of 16 as seeds. The eight already qualified according to the rules are: Inter, which won the Coppa Italia in the previous sporting season, gaining the first position in the ranking for the 2023/24 edition; followed by the teams qualified for the Champions League starting from Napoli, winner of the Scudetto, then Lazio and Milan, respectively third and fourth in Serie A. Subsequently, the teams qualified for the Europa League, Atalanta and Roma, and Juventus qualified in the Conference League, occupy the positions in the ranking. The last place went to the eighth place of the last Serie A, laFiorentina, since the winner of the last edition of the National Cup was among those who had already obtained the pass, with Inter able to impose themselves on the Viola for 2-1 at the Olimpico with the double of Lautaro Martinez.
Coppa Italia, the scoreboard and the possible intersections
The seeders will therefore be able to find themselves in the quarterfinals that will be played in a dry match towards the month of January, with the match to be played at home of the best ranked team in the season just ended. The possible intersections between the 8 seeds in the quarter-finals would be as follows: Inter-Fiorentina and Milan-Atalanta on the one hand, Lazio-Roma and Napoli-Juventus on the other. The semifinals, as in previous years with round-trip challenges could lead to a new Milanese double derby, while on the other side of the scoreboard the Italian Champions of Napoli or the Bianconeri of Allegri could meet the winners of the stracittadina of Rome. Inter and Milan could therefore meet Juventus only in the final.
