This optimism about the green light quickly deflated in the face of a precise request from its current employer: "Call me directly if Juventus really wants to have you". An evidently legitimate request, but one that presupposes a negotiation between the two clubs. Option, this, never contemplated at the Continassa.

The move to promote Manna goes precisely in this direction. Confidence in the current technical structure (with the disqualified Cherubini still operational), without entering the vortex of a dangerous countdown. So John Elkann's men's strategy is essentially based on shrewd expenses, without getting caught up in the frenzy of having suffered everything at any cost.
