Juve: black and white. After 270 minutes, what goes and what's wrong

First stop of the championship, first analysis: what worked well and what less in Juventus in these first three days? The attack worked: Allegri's team scored six goals in two games (plus three canceled for minimal offside) and is the third lineup in Serie A for xGol created (the figure that indicates, based on historical statistical data relating to type of conclusion, distance, position etc., how many goals a team should have scored based on the shots made). Beyond the data, it is evident the growth - even in the attitude - of Chiesa eVlahovic, who have clearly left behind the physical problems and are refining the understanding: an understanding that still has ample margin for growth.


Too many shots allowed

The defensive phase has large margins for growth, and must exploit them. The Bianconeri have conceded too many shots: 18 to Udinese, 10 to Bologna, 7 to Empoli, of the latter none in the mirror. The improvement bodes well, but it will have to be confirmed against more incisive formations than the Tuscan one (0 goals in three games). As much as it has allowed to activate the attack well, it can also improve the construction and in particular the precision of the passes: the most dangerous situations against Empoli were born from errors in dribbling and 84.6% of precise passes place Juve in 9th place in Serie A in these first three days. The midfield, above all, still appeared a little behind in condition: but it is also normal given the physical problems that conditioned the preparation of Rabiot and Beans.
