Juve on the wings, Atalanta plot: new alternative for Thiago Motta

DT Giuntoli prepares an offer to Dortmund for Adeyemi. A discount is needed, otherwise they can switch to another target for the Goddess

Juve is definitely getting into the thick of the negotiations for Karim Adeyemi . The offensive winger's stock is expected to rise in these hours: Cristiano Giuntoli is preparing the blitz, after setting the table with the family and the entourage of the boy from Munich. There are still some details to iron out with the player, mostly technicalities, because in essence Adeyemi 's approval for the destination is there: new contacts are expected between the agents and the Juventus management to define the agreement on a five-year contract (expires in 2029) of 3.5 million plus bonuses and then, with the strength of the player's green light, to be able to effectively begin negotiations with Borussia Dortmund. Juventus ' objective is to work on a proposal that is decidedly lower than the basic request of the German club, or 50 million.

Adeyemi and the alternatives

In Germany they are convinced that Dortmund are not of the idea of granting discounts for an element that is considered expendable for budgetary reasons. But under the conditions that Borussia dictates. On the other hand, Juventus is convinced that it can soften the position of the German club, without being in too much of a hurry. A strategy that could pay off in the long run, but which for prudence leads Giuntoli to have to keep a few other cards up his sleeve that he can play, if then with Adeyemi , currently the main objective as an offensive winger for Thiago Motta 's game , things do not take off. For a few weeks now, the Juventus technical director has maintained cordial relations with Porto , who can sacrifice, perhaps even opening up to the loan formula, one of their three jewels in attack.

As for Juventus' approval, there is no real podium (to stay in the Olympic climate) between Galeno , Cisco Conceicao and Pepê: the ranking would rather be defined by Porto's willingness to open up to a sale of one of the three. And in this sense, Galeno's odds are expected to rise, as an alternative to Adeyemi.

Juve, the main objective

But there are other possibilities: one of these can also be read as a disruptive action. However, in reality at this moment Juventus has no interest in irritating Atalanta: in the Bergamo squad there is the number one target of the Bianconeri market, Teun Koopmeiners. However, the fact that Juve is carefully observing Fiorentina 's outgoing movements for Nico Gonzalez gives us pause for thought, given that Atalanta is strongly interested in the Argentine, who sold Miranchuck to MLS (to Atlanta) and therefore needs, for Gasperini 's football, a left-footed player capable of creating unpredictability and aiming for the goal starting from the right. Nico is perfect, but he would also be perfect for the Bianconeri in Motta's 4-2-3-1.

Juve, why Nico Gonzalez

And what does this have to do with Koopmeiners? There is no direct connection, but the fact that Atalanta 's objectives are often overlapping with those of Juventus cannot be a coincidence: the O'Riley precedent is an explanation. And with Gonzalez the situation could repeat itself: a real market intrigue, considering also that Fiorentina for the Argentine (who is under contract with the Viola club until 2028) would not go below a valuation of 30 million. The Bianconeri strategy for Koopmeiners could change, if the management were to decide to invest the resources for a permanent transfer on the offensive winger: at that point they could work for an onerous loan with a conditional obligation to buy, also to get closer to Atalanta's high demands.
