Juve report : Gatti not just a wall, Pogba give us some light, Chiesa gets the double

Ratings and opinions of the convincing performance of the Bianconeri on the Empoli pitch: Miretti good ideas but imprecise, Milik and Kean come in and do well

Second away match and second victory for Juventus. After the success in Udine on the first day, and the draw at the Stadium against Bologna, Massimiliano Allegri's team returned to success and moved up to 7 points in the standings. A convincing performance, a match never in question on the same pitch where three months ago the definitive blow of the penalty arrived which weakened the soul and legs of Juventus, and then a heavy 4-1. This time, however, the music was completely different.

Empoli-Juve, the report cards:

Perin 6

Practically never busy, however attentive. Not always precise with his feet.

Gatti 6.5

Some initial difficulties with Cambiaghi's moves, then he takes the measure and with a nice offensive percussion earns the penalty, after having made his physicality count with Bremer in the melee which gave rise to the 0-1.

Bremer 6

At the beginning Caputo's ability to protect the ball suffered and allowed him a couple of dangerous blocks, but as the minutes went by he adapted. Some smudges.

Danilo 7

On his side, the specially observed Baldanzi acts and doesn't leave him any space, instead he goes looking for some in the Empoli area and finds the right one to score the lead (after having already scored a goal which was rightly disallowed due to his obstruction of Berisha).

McKennie 6.5

Always proactive on the right, a little scholastic in his choices and executions. Except when he rewards Gatti's inclusion in the penalty action.

Miretti 6

Some good ideas, a verticalization for Chiesa at the start of the recovery is the best, but also several inaccuracies in the setup phase.

Pogba (16' st) 6.5

He immediately puts his physique and technique to work, an offside by Vlahovic who had blocked him denies him a great goal. But in the end he feels a twinge in his adductor. New exams await him.

Locatelli 6.5

It honors Spalletti's return to the national team and his investiture as director with alternating current. However effective.

Rabiot 6

After a good initial percussion, he wastes a counterattack after half an hour by bringing too much of the ball. Solid, but not yet the real Rabiot, probably due to the preparation conditioned by the calf problem.

Kostic 6

It's not the train of good moments, but at the seasonal debut it's normal for it to be like this. However, he puts in some interesting shots.

Cambiaso (26' st) 6

He enters the game well, in both phases.

Vlahovic 6

The missed penalty is a hole in the middle of an otherwise excellent cake: he fights, sorts the balls, commits Berisha.

Milik (25' st) 7

Little is seen until the great play that sends Chiesa through to make it 0-2. The crossbar denies him the goal.

Chiesa 6.5

He lights up in the second half: first Berisha stops him on the way out, then he frustrates a great dribble by kicking wide in front of the goalkeeper, and in the end he goes to get the second goal with a splendid sprint.

Kean (39' st) 6

A few minutes, but he exploits them with desire and hits the post.

All. Allegri 7

It takes Juve a while to get going, surprised by Empoli's speed, then they pick up their tone, score and in the second half they definitively take control of the match, which could have ended with a greater gap. There was some amnesia in dribbling, especially in the first half.
