Juventus flag Alessandro Del Piero explains: "I know how the players feel now and that's why they are doing great things."
Juventus is experiencing a very special year. The off-pitch events and that fifteen-point penalty that gave his championship standings a completely different face made it decidedly more complicated .
Over the last few months many things have changed in the Juventus arena and many others could change again shortly and Alessandro Del Piero , speaking to 'CBS Sports Golazo', commented on what is happening and explained why according to him the team is doing a great season.
“I was a Juventus fan even before playing for Juve and I spent nineteen years at the club. I lived through the 2006 crisis and I know that rebuilding a team takes a long time. You don't play the Champions League, you lose many opportunities, it took years to win a trophy again, but I've never had any regrets about my choice. I know how players can feel at a time like this where you don't know what can happen and that's why I think they are doing great things."
In recent times, the rumors that would like Del Piero to be president of Juventus have multiplied . This is probably the option most appreciated by the entire Juventus team.
“There are many rumors of course. I don't want to say 'yes' or 'no' because it's a huge thing, but obviously my heart is there. As I said before I spent nineteen years in the club, that's about most of my life up until recently. I always look at what happens to Juve with a different vision, trying to keep the emotional side aside is very complicated."
That of the president is a very articulated and complex role to fill, according to Del Piero , however, everything must be seen with a broader vision.
