And so last season he moved to Next Gen , immediately becoming a key player in the group. However, a serious injury kept him out from the end of November to the beginning of March: after a gradual recovery he returned to the field with continuity towards the end of the season, also scoring a goal in the playoffs in the 1-3 victory against Pescara . In the meantime, the player's undisputed qualities had also been noticed in Belgium , especially since the U21s in October 2023 focused on him for the European Championship qualifiers in the category . Motta was no exception: in the summer he tested him with the first team by fielding him in the friendlies with Nuremberg and Brest , until the decision was made to immediately include him among the starters with Como in the first official match. But what are his physical and technical peculiarities?

Mbangula, the technical characteristics

171 cm tall but with a very good physical structure that allows him to resist even the persistent attacks of the opponents, Mbangula is a versatile footballer. The advanced department is his area of expertise: he easily covers the role of second striker as well as that of attacking winger. When necessary, however, he has also occupied the outside lane of midfield. Whether in midfield or in an offensive trident, his favorite band remains the left, thus being able to return to his very poisonous right.

Fast, good dribbling, great technique and capable of finishing accurately from outside the area, but not disdaining timely incursions into the area. Qualities that could allow him to score even more goals than those scored up to now. A modern striker therefore, complete and capable of covering practically all attacking roles (but, as mentioned, if necessary also of positioning himself on the outside lanes in midfield). Versatility in power, Mbangula has convinced Motta: called up to the first team and immediately a starter, the doors of Serie A are opening for him.
