Motta shapes the new Juve: training between clues and surprises for Verona

At Continassa, morning session open to fans who from the stands showed all their support for the new black and white course

Juventus continues its march towards the away match in Verona against Hellas Verona and on Thursday morning it was also able to count on the affection of its fans. Over 500 people, many of whom were children, invited by the club, attended the session under the orders of coach Thiago Motta . The coach was among the most applauded, as was the new arrival Pierre Kalulu, who was made official to the Juventus world on Wednesday . An important session after the day of rest granted by the coach, in which he went for a family walk with his dog Hugo (now the special Juventus fan after the viral photo of the last few days ). 

Juve and the open-door training

There is already great enthusiasm around the new Juventus. After the 3-0 against Como , the fans flocked to follow the Bianconeri training session in view of the next Serie A match. Although we are still at the beginning of the championship and at the first moments there is a desire to do well and already with the changes in the game brought by the Italian-Brazilian there is perhaps even more fun on the pitch and in the stands. In short, a perfect mix to start the season in the best possible way. Weah and Khephren Thuram did not take part in training due to their respective injuries and Milik, who at this point remains doubtful for Monday evening in Verona.

Vlahovic goal, Cabal assist

During the session, the team worked first on the athletic part and then did possession exercises divided into two teams. The peculiarity was the use of goalkeepers in this phase which shows the importance of Motta in the game with the feet of his own goalkeepers. Useful for working under pressure and playing on the sidelines, even starting from the bottom. Then a small-pitch match.

Here we saw an action that Juve could repeat often in matches: Cabal crosses and Vlahovic anticipates at the near post. Against Como the Serbian found the goal before the disallowance for offside and the same happened during the morning session. But it doesn't end there...

Motta and the defensive evidence

No, because Thiago Motta wanted to do specific work on the defensive phase too. And, during the open training session at Continassa, he had the defenders work on clearing the area from dead balls. The Italian-Brazilian coach used a first line composed of: Savona , Bremer, Gatti and Cabal.

In midfield, the coach tried Fagioli and  Douglas Luiz with Locatelli. One possible lineup concerns Cambiaso, a real wildcard against Como for his constant movements inside the field:  he could also play high on the right, to make up for Weah's injury. The Bianconeri will continue training in view of the second day of the championship, with the match against Verona set again as a postponement, Monday at 20:45 at the Bentegodi stadium.
