"Nico Gonzalez, changed mindset. Juve like others, Kean was there since January..."

The Viola club's director on the many market operations that have involved the Bianconeri in recent years: "Gudmundsson? We are protected"

With the end of the transfer market, Daniele Pradè spoke at a press conference from Viola Park to take stock of the incoming and outgoing operations carried out by the Viola club in the last session. The Fiorentina manager focused in particular on the negotiations carried out with Juventus , which involved first Moise Kean and then Nico Gonzalez .  Pradè immediately responded to questions about a possible direct link with Juventus , given the many operations that have involved the two clubs in recent years:  "Absolutely not, none of this exists. It's a company like the others, with which we work. McKennie, Kostic and Arthur are very normal market situations, but we have never had the objective of negotiating with other players for Nico Gonzalez . Kean was there much earlier, we were already looking for him in January and we all really wanted him".

Pradè: "Goodbye Nico Gonzalez? He's changed his mind..."

The manager, who at the start of the transfer window had said he was sure of the Argentine's permanence, explained his transfer to Juventus as follows :  "We all thought we could win the Conference League last season. A defeat like that leaves permanent roots. Then there was the Copa America defeat which had an impact on Nico Gonzalez 's head , it changed it. He felt like taking a different step in his career. Luckily I had spoken of a 99% chance of permanence, that 1% saved me".

Pradè: "Kean the right striker? Let's hope so..."

Then Pradè expressed his opinion on Moise Kean 's impact in Viola:  "We hope we have found the right striker. All the choices are shared with the other directors, the president and mister Palladino . There is no choice that is not shared 100%, after the coach he was the first one we took" . Then the announcement of a new purchase:  "We have presented eleven players, only the twelfth is missing, which is Valentini and he will arrive in January" .

Pradè: "Gudmundsson trial? We are protected"

Finally, the manager spoke about the Gudmundsson situation , with the ongoing trial in Iceland for sexual violence: "The operation was long also for this reason, we are 100% protected. The player risks little or nothing, but the operation is on loan with obligation or right. Everything depends on when the sentence comes out: if it comes out before June 15th we know how to operate, otherwise we still have an excellent relationship with Genoa and we will try to recreate this operation. We have studied everything. Gudmundsson is calm, I hope he gives us the quality we were looking for".
