Tacconi exclusive: "Moved by Juve! Bremer, Yildiz and Di Gregorio's goal against Napoli"

The great former Juventus goalkeeper analyses the match and the team he saw on Saturday at the Stadium, where he was warmly welcomed by the fans

A dream he has been chasing for more than two years, since he woke up from a coma after the aneurysm, in April 2022, and had to relearn how to live, breathe, eat, walk. Since then Stefano Tacconi has cherished the desire to return to the Stadium to see Juventus , as a sign of his recovery. On Saturday his dream came true: with his wife Laura and his son Andrea he returned to the Allianz and followed Juventus-Napoli from the stands, cheered by the 40 thousand fans present. " It was a wonderful, unique emotion. The applause, the ovation, it was truly a celebration ."

Tacconi, did you expect such a welcome? We saw him almost in tears... « It's true, I was moved, but I knew that the black and white people had never abandoned me. They were always close to me in these long months, my son told me that they had come out of the hospital to support me. The warmth of the fans, together with that of my family, were the best cure to overcome this period ».

With her in the stands, Di Gregorio was the protagonist of a great save on Politano's free kick: the level of difficulty? " High because the shot was very tricky, with an attempt to also nip the ball with his head to deflect it, but Di Gregorio had excellent reflexes, a great reaction. I would say that he has started his adventure in black and white well: it's like scoring a goal and it gives you a lot of confidence "

How did you find the challenge between Juve and Napoli? The goal was missing . « True, but not conceding any is already important. I liked Juventus because they seemed more solid than in the past, as if the players had something inside that pushes them to give more to erase the last seasons ... ».

He spoke of a super black and white defense with an untouchable leader. " Bremer is crazy, to see him like this he seems like an animal for the way he pounces on the opponent, almost as if he were prey. He is maturing a lot, he will be the future of the team ."

Yildiz also impressed the fans with his Del Piero-style goal in the Champions League. " It's still early to judge him. The goal was wonderful and it allows him to gain self-confidence. But you also have to know how to wait for young players, let them mature... "

At Juventus, there is no talk of the Scudetto, but what future can this team have? " I am curious to see when the new signings will have settled in, finding an understanding with their teammates, and will be able to express themselves to the fullest. I am convinced that between the excellent market and the trust in young players, Juventus can become great again and go far ."

We close with a memory of Schillaci: you were not only a teammate, but a great friend. « The best always leave... When he arrived at Juventus he was disoriented, I was captain: there was a mutual feeling right from the start, I felt it was right to give him a hand since he felt he was struggling in a new environment for him. We were very good friends, we were together in Japan and New York. I always took him with me. And even now we spoke almost every day ».
