A supermarket, or rather, a discount store with (still) a few prized items , some opportunities that can be picked up at relatively cheap prices, for certain budgets. It should be more or less how the opulent owners of Saudi Arabian clubs see Serie A, a championship that is certainly "easier" than the rich Premier League, comparable instead to an expensive boutique.


The Arab trolley, in mid-July, is already loaded with Italian quality products such as Brozovic and Milinkovic , paraded respectively at Inter and Lazio. But what worries us now is the shopping list that gets longer day after day , threatening to leave the best shelves (and the best "departments") empty.

The (pre)economic power with which the sheikhs have presented themselves in the world of modern football, first by entering the ownership of European clubs and now instead by incorporating world-class champions into the " home" championship , appears irresistible and unstoppable. The latest market rumors have therefore triggered the alarms from Juventus, Lazio, Rome and Naples . The managers find themselves displaced by this compulsive and pounding shopping made up of perpetually upward offers that crush the competition and entice players and managers to the tune of millions.
